If I could put little hearts around the title of this post, I would.
Yesterday I visited our friends Jennifer and Jeremy's baby, Welles. He is seriously gorgeous and I can't get enough of him. He looks like the perfect blend of mama and daddy, with mama's mouth and daddy's nose. And he is so good, he hardly fusses (at least while I'm around) and his coos and smiles are heart-melting. I couldn't help but take fifty million pictures of the sweet little guy. Here are a few of my favs:
That last one's the money shot. The things I would do to get this kid to smile...
Our friend Shannon has been lucky enough to babysit Welles a couple of times. I'm a little jealous, not gonna lie. :) If you can't tell, she's off to his right, making him smile and laugh. She would coo at him and he would coo back. Aaaaaah so cute!!
Jennifer has been such a good mama, motherhood seems to come naturally to her. Right now she's adjusting to being back at work, as her maternity leave recently ended. I understand this to be a really hard thing for working moms and my heart goes out to her. It can't be easy to make the transition, but she knows it's the best thing for the family. One day that will be me, and I'm not looking forward to how hard it will be.
Props to Jennifer and other working mamas out there!

I hope you've enjoyed Welles, as I have. Have a great weekend!

Welles is such a blessed little man. Thank you Sarah for this beautiful blog post. You're a wonderful friend to us.
ReplyDeleteP.S. we will let you keep him too! ;-)
