Our friends Kristen and Patrick got engaged last weekend! I loved hearing Patrick's plans, which he shared with many of Kristen's friends: he planned to take her for a hot air balloon ride where he'd propose, and afterward throw her a surprise engagement party that all of her friends would attend.
It was so special to Kristen's friends and family to be in on the surprise.
The morning of the engagement party, we all arrived at Carmel, a swanky new spot in South Tampa, to have drinks, snack and wait for Kristen and Patrick's arrival:
Patrick arranged for a professional photographer to take pictures, and his videographer friend took a video. Here's the photog. (Zach likes taking pictures of the picture-takers.)

At Patrick's request, we called an out-of-town friend of Kristen's who greeted her via Facetime.
